Towers - St Bene't's
6, 13-3-3 in F# This church is situated in Bene't Street, just off King's Parade, and is notable for being the oldest remaining building in Cambridgeshire. This is also (allegedly) the home tower of Fabian Stedman and thus the home of all change ringing; there is a plaque in the ringing area to commemorate this. During Full Term practices are run by the Assistant Master, and out of Full Term by Jonathan Shanklin. Sunday ringing:9am to 9.50am in term time, 9.15am to 9.50am out of term. Practices:Friday 7.30pm to 9pm. |
