The Guild Steeplekeeper is responsible for maintenance of the bells at St Andrew the Great and maintenance of the Guild's handbells.

Matthew learned to ring at St. Michael's, Basingstoke in 2004 and a sponsored first peal in February 2008 saw him raise roughly £1200, a fundraising ability the Guild has yet to take proper advantage of.
Matthew matriculated to Robinson in the same year and was largely anonymous in his first term, making locating him after his late arrival on the London Outing a particular challenge, but he has since become a particular enthusiast of quarter peal attempts at St. Bene't's.
As Steeplekeeper, Matthew has broken with recent tradition by attending practices at St. Andrew's and even doing some work on the bells, seeing him elected to a second consecutive term in office.
