Officers - Webmasters
The webmaster is responsible for maintaining the Guild website as a useful resource for new and old members alike. Name: Leigh Simpson College: Robinson Subject: Engineering Leigh matriculated to Robinson in October 2003 and soon made contact with the guild, going to the SUA and NUA in his first term. This is Leigh's fourth year in a guild position, having held the post of steeplekeeper for the previous two years. Finally someone competent has taken on that job Leigh is responsible for the technical aspects of managing the Guild website. Leigh learned to ring at St. Mary the Virgin, in his home town of Disley. He is a regular quarter peal ringer, and rang his first peal on Dinner Day 2004 at Trumpington. |
Name: Luke Smith College: Trinity Hall Subject: Engineering Luke arrived at Trinity Hall in October 2004 and soon started appearing at Guild ringing. Several nicknames have been tested since his arrival, and "Tenor King" is the one on which he is most fond. Having previously been Assistant Master, Secretary and then Master, Luke is taking on a more relaxed role as Webmaster with special responsibilities for updating. Luke learnt to ring at All Saints, Lanchester, Co Durham and rang his first peal in April 2001. He kick-started his Guild peal list at the start of New Year 2004/5 on a rare excursion away from the back bells. |
