Welcome to the CUGCR Website

The Cambridge University Guild of Change Ringers was formed in 1879 to practise the art of change ringing. Today we are an active student society who organise many ringing and social events throughout the year.

We ring at several churches within Cambridge, and welcome ringers of all abilities. To find out more about the Guild, explore this website, e-mail secretary@cugcr.org.uk, or feel free to join us at one of our practices.

Annual General Meeting

Posted 7th April 2011

This year’s AGM will take place in Cambridge on Sunday 1st May, at 14.00 (location tbc – more details will follow later). A notice should appear in the Ringing World, but if you could all please also circulate this information to any interested persons not on the mailing list, that would be useful.

The minutes from last year’s AGM will not be read at the meeting, but are available here or via the downloads page .

Changes to the Guild rules have been proposed and it is likely that there will be some discussion of the changes, but nothing voted on at this stage.

We are still missing a few years in the Guild photo album: if anyone has photos from ’87, ’88, ’90, ’92, ’93, ’94, ’95 that they are able to scan in and email to us, then that would be excellent. Alternatively, if people have photos but not scanning facilities, then this weekend’s dinner is a perfect opportunity to bring the photos to Cambridge so copies can be made.
